An NSO Chorus touring production.
A boisterous story of 18th century London lowlife, complete with pickpockets, prostitutes and highwaymen. John Gay filched songs by Handel, Purcell and others, as well as popular tunes of the day (Lillibulero, Greensleeves, Over the Hills and Far Away… ).
“The real star of the show was the NSO Chorus itself. Throughout the evening they offered unflagging energy, spirit and unified ensemble” Sussex Express
